520 Bar and Grill: Not Named for the Bridge

These days, it seems, everyone has been losing their patience with the faithful floating bridge. “Plans” for a more efficient thoroughfare are more than a year behind and here we wait, Eastsiders, ready for the City to satisfy their word. But there is salvation yet! The next time you are sitting in your car, pointing westward with the diving sun in your eyes, cursing to yourself about the state of the bridge, remember to not wait in ineptitude any longer! Assuming you haven’t passed the 92nd ave. point-of-no-return exit, turn around and find a much more hospitable 520 at 520 Bar and Grill.

The restaurant, winner of the Talk of the Town Award for the second year in a row (and dozens of others), can give you a much needed break from traffic, or anything else. Centrally located just south of Bellevue Square, the bar can serve your party needs, your game-watching needs or your bored-after-work needs. The restaurant serves anything from finger food, such as hand-breaded coconut prawns with mango papaya sauce, to grilled salmon filets and the 520 “Best in Bellevue” Burger. Who would pass on such a claim? Even to try to disprove it.

520 prides itself on its centrality and its role in the community. Says owner Joseph Brazen, “we love Bellevue. We work, live, play, invest and have lots of fun in Bellevue.”  And who wouldn’t? In a city of commerce and hard working people, a restaurant of such friendly and relaxing nature has been an automatic favorite place for holiday parties or no-reason parties alike! Look to 520 for your Cinco de Mayo celebration where it will be a sure success. The restaurant is always ready to book a reservation for a large party and, with the weather steadily becoming bearable, the Patio is now open, meaning more space (and more demand) for outdoor seats. Make a reservation here.

For those days when you want different food for a cheaper price, don’t miss 520′s happy hour! Happening daily (from 2:00 to 5:30pm & 9pm to closing) 520 will bombard you with choices. Shredded beef soft tacos and hummus plates will have you spending all too much time staring at the menu in indecisiveness. Maybe you can spend enough time at the bar “deciding,” while the sun passes the horizon and the traffic dies down…
